How this visit actually goes
The same order every time, so nothing is opened and nothing is charged before you have seen the figure and said yes.

01
Test the seal properly
A sheet of paper closed in the door should grip all the way round. Where it slides out, the seal is not sealing — and that is a measurement rather than an opinion.
-
02
Decide seal or hinge
A hardened seal is a part. A door that has dropped is an adjustment, and replacing the seal on a dropped door fixes it for a month.
-
03
Reset to the cabinetry
A panelled column door carries the weight of your joinery. It is set back to the line of the cabinets, not just to the appliance.
-
04
Check what the leak was doing
A cold-air leak on a refrigeration column shows up as frost, running compressors and a temperature alarm — all of which stop when the door seals again.

The Thermador units we carry this work out on
-
Masterpiece · Professional · Steam · Speed Thermador wall oven repair in Miami
Built in at eye level, often two cavities in one cabinet, and increasingly one of the two is a steam oven with a water circuit of its own. "The oven is broken" almost always means one cavity of the pair, and which one narrows the job considerably.
- Not heating or not holding temperature
- The touch panel unresponsive after a long cycle
- The door locked after a self-clean
-
Professional · 30" 36" 48" 60" Thermador range repair in Miami
The appliance the brand is built around. A Professional range is two machines sharing a cabinet — a cooktop with star burners or an induction surface on top, and an oven underneath — and the two fail in completely different ways. Knowing which half you are describing shortens the visit before anybody arrives.
- A burner that clicks and will not light
- The oven not reaching or holding temperature
- The griddle heating unevenly across the plate
-
Masterpiece · Star-Sapphire · Crystal Dry Thermador dishwasher repair in Miami
Quiet, panel-ready, and dried by a mineral chamber rather than a heating element. Two of the commonest complaints about these machines are the design working exactly as intended; the third is a filter nobody has taken out in a year.
- Water standing in the tub after a cycle
- Plastics coming out wet
- The leak protection tripping and the machine refusing to run
-
Freedom columns · French door · Under-counter Thermador refrigerator repair in Miami
A Freedom column is one cabinet holding one temperature — all refrigerator, no freezer in it — usually installed beside a freezer column as a matched pair behind panels that look like joinery. That makes the diagnosis cleaner and the access harder.
- Not holding temperature
- Frost or condensation inside the cabinet
- A door that no longer seals against its panel
-
Freedom columns · 18" 24" 30" 36" Thermador freezer repair in Miami
The other half of the pair, and the cabinet the ice maker lives in. A freezer column that is losing temperature announces itself long before the food is at risk — frost patterns change, the compressor runs longer, and the ice slows down first.
- Not holding temperature, with the refrigerator column fine
- Heavy frost building on one wall rather than evenly
- Ice production slowing down or stopping altogether
-
Under-counter · Glass door · Two zones Thermador wine reserve repair in Miami
An undercounter reserve with a glass door and two temperature zones, built under a worktop rather than standing in a run. The glass door is a working part of the cabinet rather than a window, and a surprising share of what goes wrong is about it.
- Temperature drifting or swinging between zones
- Condensation on the inside of the glass
- A compressor that runs and runs

About Thermador door seal and hinge repair
One job, most of the kitchen
An oven door, a dishwasher door and a refrigeration column door fail in the same three ways: the seal hardens, the hinge sags, or the panel it carries has shifted. What differs is the consequence — heat loss on an oven, water on a floor from a dishwasher, and on refrigeration, a compressor that never stops and a cabinet that alarms.
Why adjustment comes before parts
These doors are built to be aligned, and a heavy panelled door will move over years of use. A new seal on a door that is not sitting square is a repair that lasts weeks. It is also the cheaper answer, which is the right reason to try it first.
What decides the figure
How many doors, whether a seal is needed as well as an adjustment, and whether the door carries a cabinet panel that has to come off and go back on aligned.

Questions about thermador door seal and hinge repair
How do I know if my seal has gone?
Close a sheet of paper in the door and pull. If it slides out easily anywhere along the edge, the seal is not gripping there. Do it at four points on each side — seals usually fail at the bottom corners first.
My refrigerator column keeps alarming but the door looks shut.
Looks shut and is sealed are different things, especially on a panelled door that has dropped a few millimeters on its hinges. The door alarm is often the first honest sign of it, before frost or a temperature alarm.
Can the hinges be adjusted rather than replaced?
Usually, yes, and that is the first thing tried. Professional doors are heavy and they are designed to be adjusted. Replacement is for a hinge that is worn rather than out of alignment.
