How this visit actually goes
The same order every time, so nothing is opened and nothing is charged before you have seen the figure and said yes.

01
The filter first, in front of you
It lifts out and washes under the faucet. We do it with you watching, because if that is the whole problem you should know it is something you can do yourself next time.
-
02
Then the path the water takes
Drain hose behind the machine, the high loop, the air gap at the sink and the disposal spigot. All of them are outside the appliance and all of them stop a machine that is working perfectly.
-
03
The pump, if it is the pump
Impeller checked for glass or a fruit sticker before the pump is condemned. On a panelled machine the panel comes off first, and it goes back on aligned.

04
Run a full cycle before we leave
A drain code has to clear and stay clear. We run the machine through rather than resetting it and calling it done.

Dishwasher drain repair cost
What it costs when water is standing in the tub — and the honest note that a good share of these end at the filter, which costs the visit and nothing more.
- National range for dishwasher repair: $100–$300
- The filter and the hose are free to check first
- The cabinet panel is what adds time, not the part

Quiet, panel-ready, and dried by a mineral chamber rather than a heating element. Two of the commonest complaints about these machines are the design working exactly as intended; the third is a filter nobody has taken out in a year.
- Water standing in the tub after a cycle
- Plastics coming out wet
- The leak protection tripping and the machine refusing to run

About Thermador dishwasher drain repair
What a drain code actually covers
A published drain code names the path the water takes out of the machine, not one component in it: the filter, the pump, the hose behind the machine, the high loop, the air gap at the sink and the disposal spigot. Four of those six are outside the appliance and cost nothing but a look. That is why this job starts at the filter and works outward rather than starting at the pump.
When it is not the drain at all
Water standing in the tub after every cycle is a drain problem. A machine that never fills, or fills and stops, is showing you something else — E16 and E18 are supply-side conditions with their own pages. If the display is telling you one of those, this is not the job.
What decides the figure
Whether the pump is involved, and whether the machine carries a cabinet panel. A filter and a hose are the visit; a drain pump is the part plus the time to get the machine out and back without marking the cabinetry.

Questions about thermador dishwasher drain repair
Is E24 the same as E25?
They are two published conditions in the same story: E24 is a drain that is blocked, E25 is the pump itself. On newer machines the same conditions appear as E6102 and E61-03. Each has its own page in the code archive here.
Can I fix it myself?
Often, yes. Lift out the filter, wash it under the faucet with a soft brush, check the drain hose behind the machine is not bent against the wall and that the air gap at the sink is clear. If it drains after that, you are finished.
Why does it cost more than on an ordinary dishwasher?
Because most of these are built in behind a cabinet panel, and the panel has to come off and go back on square. The part is the same; the access is what differs.
